Born and raised in the Midwest with a God-given talent, Kaylyn Sahs began singing almost as soon as she could talk. With a voice some have said sounds like pure gold, she has been pursuing and honing her musical gifts ever since. First with learning piano, which did not come easy, to picking up the guitar just a few years ago, to a growing ability and love for songwriting. Although her talents were being shaped from an early age as she was being groomed for the stage, to those close to her, the road has not been easy. With God’s help she pushes through those internal struggles and strives to perform fearlessly. As she has learned from Nashville’s live music producer, Tom Jackson, "To give everything (she) can for the benefit of every single person in the audience."
All of this has led to many successes and incredible opportunities such as, being one of only a few to make it to the second round at the American Idol Omaha auditions in 2017, recording and releasing her first EP Joy Ride in 2018, winning Overall Vocalist and Mega Star in a talent competition at the 2018 Nebraska State Fair, and in 2019 Sahs released her first Nashville recorded and produced single for her highly requested original, “Country Side”—a young woman’s daydream about finding her city boy with a country side. With her pop-country style and soft rock flare, her smile, voice, and contagious personality, she wins over audiences of all ages, encourages them, and leaves them feeling better than they did before. All the while gaining superfans along the way.
Sahs has also shared the stage with national acts such as, Little Texas, Chris Lane, Adam Hambrick, Tracy Byrd, and soon Jo Dee Messina (Nov. 2020). As Del Gray, from Little Texas said, “What a great performance and strong, strong vocals!!! Nashville pay attention. Kaylyn is here to stay!!!”
In her spare time, she volunteers with her church Worship Team, she loves being a barista and getting to know her community, hanging out with her friends and family, and spending time soaking up the rays at the beach. If she could play any instrument in the world, it would be the cello.
